Organic Skin Care by Juice Beauty

I have been hearing about Gwyneth Paltrow’s new organic skincare line “Juice Beauty” for some time now, and so when the company approached me about trying their products I was eager to partake. I do not wear a lot of makeup, mainly because I have extremely sensitive skin that tends to break out easily. The new Juice Beauty products boast all organic ingredients and no harsh chemicals or toxins in a mix of both skin care and makeup collections.

Juice was kind enough to send me 3 products from their skincare line and 3 from their makeup collection to try for myself, and so far I am really pleased with them all! If you are looking for an organic skincare line, or even a product to use on sensitive skin like mine, I have put together all of the products and my thoughts on each for you guys below!

Green Apple Age Defying Serum

GREEN APPLE Age Defy Serum

Intended to create a brighter complexion, the Green Apple Age Defy Serum is the first of 3 skincare products I received from Juice Beauty. Now, I am not at the age where I am looking to correct but rather prevent future wrinkles and skin damage, and this product is great for both. On their website it says that those with sensitive skin should be careful with this product, but I had no negative reactions with it at all! The brand notes that the Brightening Collection is not designed for very sensitive or rosacea skin due to the alpha/beta hydroxy fruit acids and suggests their Daily Essentials Collection for those with that type of skin. I found that it goes on smooth and has a creamy texture, not to mention is smells amazing!

Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer

One of their best sellers, the Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer is intended to be applied after the use of the serum, during your morning and nightly routines. The brand suggests massaging all over your face, neck and chest, and like the serum this product smells amazing and fresh. The ingredients include green apple, grape, lemon and aloe juice along with shea butter, green tea and jojoba oil, all of which are certified organic. I love how this feels on my skin and like the serum I have had no issues or reactions with it at all, and it feels light on my skin unlike some other moisturizers!

Green Apple Peel Sensitive

GREEN APPLE Peel SensitiveThis peel is formulated to exfoliate and even skin tone and texture with organic alpha hydroxy acids of malic acid from organic green apples while visibly minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with Vitamins A & C. Juice Beauty recommends 1-2 times per week at night before bed, and offer a formula for sensitive and non-sensitive skin types. After one use of this product my skin felt tingly clean (which I loved) and didn’t burn my skin like some peels can! I really like this one.

PHYTO-PIGMENTS Illuminating Primer

Again, I do not wear a lot of makeup, especially on my skin (foundation, ect.), but this primer is a great base for any foundation. It is made with coconut oils and vegetable juices, and helps to keep skin hydrated and healthy while evening complexion. Across the board I have found that Juice’s products go on light and feel smooth on my skin and this is no exception. One pump is all you need (a little goes a long way with all of these products!).

PHYTO-PIGMENTS Last Looks Cream Blush

PHYTO-PIGMENTS Last Looks Cream Blush - Seashell

The second makeup product that I tired was this cream blush in the color Seashell- Bright Pink.(which is PERFECT for my fair skin tone). Just like with the moisturizers, this product is light on the skin and doesn’t feel cakey or dry like some products can but instead feels hydrating on my skin. I am most excited about the color but a little goes a long way with this product, just three dots across the apples of my cheeks give me the perfect amount of color. It looks completely natural unlike some powder blush formulas which can be too shiny or iridescent.

PHYTO-PIGMENTS Ultra-Natural Mascara

PHYTO-PIGMENTS Ultra-Natural Mascara

If I use any makeup it is usually an eye liner and mascara, so I was especially interested in this one by Juice. I like when you can build up a product, and this is perfect for that. What I find most interesting about this product is the ingredients used to make it. There is Argan powder, purple carrot, and rose powder, all of which serve as alternatives to the traditional coal tar and carbon black that are used in mascaras. The best results came when I let the first coat dry and building up from there, but this mascara leaves a flawless, clump free result that I was really happy with. Some of the mascaras I have used in the past start to flake or chip by the end of the day and this one stayed smooth and flake free all day, a huge bonus for me.

I avoid most lipsticks and creams, mainly because I think they look funny on me (I have a nearly non-existent top lip) but this is the first one I have found that I actually like. I got the same Seashell color as the blush and it is so perfect with my skin color. It takes my natural lip color up just a notch without making it look like I am wearing an obvious lip color, which I love. I am also super impressed with how hydrating it is! Most lipsticks I have tried go on and feel hydrating but eventually dry right out and leave a nasty chalky feeling on my lips, which in tern forces me to load up on chap stick to help re-hydrate them. I’ve said it before but I will say it again, this whole line of products is so hydrating, I am incredibly impressed by it. This will definitely be a go to for me.
