Sharing My 5 Favorite Podcasts

Hands down one of the greatest things I started doing this year was listening to Podcasts. I’ll admit that I am guilty of deleting the app on every iPhone I’ve owned in order to make the most of my measly 16 gigs (I’ve since upgraded to 32 and HOLY LIFE CHANGING!) but one of my best friends convinced me to give it a go on my morning commute one day and it changed everything.

All that time spent in my car singing along to the radio was replaced with listening to insightful, comical, motivational and educational Podcasts that made me feel like I was making the most of that otherwise unproductive time. Best part is that whether you’re looking to learn something new, have a good laugh, or switch it up from the radio, there is a Podcast for you. Here are a few of the ones I’ve been listening to lately that have become an important part of my daily routine.

The Goal Digger Podcast – Marketing, Social Media, Creative Entreprenourship,  Small Business Strategy and Branding with Jenna Kutcher

This workshop style Podcast is perfect for bloggers, entrepreneurs and girl bosses who are looking to expand their knowledge and understanding of their work and the world of online businesses. Jenna Kutcher is a photographer and blogger who has made her career in being authentically herself and she has so much useful and constructive knowledge to share with her followers. She also posts interviews with other female bloggers and entrepreneurs that are incredibly insightful and interesting whether you own a blog or not!

Anna Faris is Unqualified with Anna Faris

Perhaps its just because I love Anna Faris, but this was one of the first Podcasts I ever subscribed to and I am so glad I did. Each week Anna hosts a celebrity guest to discuss anything and everything and the results are a hilarious and insightful glimpse into both Anna and her guests’ lives. Always hilarious, her Podcast is a surefire way to get a good laugh in to your day and remind you to laugh at yourself every once and a while too.

HerMoney with Jean Chatzky

A podcast by women, for women, about money! Jean is a financial guru living in New York City and sharing her knowledge of finance with women and how to be smart and make the most of your personal finances and goals. Since listening to her Podcast my eyes have been opened to the ins and outs of money and the modern working woman, and introduced to many brilliant female entrepreneurs and businesswomen who have broken the mold and found financial freedom. These are skills every modern woman should learn!

The Simple Sophisticate with Shannon Ables

Shannon’s blog The Simply Luxurious Life has amassed a huge following over the years thanks to her approach to living a meaningful life, and her Podcast The Simple Sophisticate serves as a great extension of those values and practices! She covers topics of all areas that are meant to inspire and teach her listeners and jump-start discussions and ways of thinking that you may otherwise not partake in. I have listened to some really interesting discussions on her Podcast and find I always have something positive and useful to take away from them.

The Dave Ramsey Show with Dave Ramsey

I have never been a numbers person, and after graduating college I quickly realized that I wasn’t a finance person either. This show quite literally changed my financial situation and saw me go from paying the monthly minimum on my loans and accruing thousands of dollars of interest, to paying off two of my student loans in a matter of months and cutting my repayment period from 10 years to 2.  Through real life examples and callers, Dave explains and makes sense of the common to complex of financial mistakes and how we all can make positive changes towards living a debt free life. A MUST SUBSCRIBE!
